Celebrate!

There is an overflow of excuses for celebration flowers! Honor Mom on Mother's Day, May 11. Graduations and prom festivities come in May and June. Father's Day is Sunday, June 15.

Perhaps you know even more reasons, such as an anniversary or a birthday? (Or, no particular reason at all!)

Fortunately, Mother Nature cooperates with us as some wonderful flowers come into season. Choose from fragrant Lilacs, Phlox, Sweet William, Hydrangea, and Tulips. Peonies come into season usually by mid-May, right through June.

We deliver our specialties locally in Northern Virginia, and can deliver flowers and plants across the country and around the world!

Get Your Bloomers from Blooms

Let our Blooming plants create a long-lasting expression of your sentiments. In season now are wonderful Azaleas with Blooms of pink, white and red. This plant is a member of the Rhododendron family, and likes to be kept out of direct sunlight.

Our gift Azaleas are hot-house grown, and not "hardy." Although some have had luck with planting it outside in a protected site, these plants are grown for indoor enjoyment.

Flower of the Month - Anemone!

Anemones get their name from the the Greek word for wind, giving it a nickname of "windflower." A member of the Ranunculaceae family of flowers, the blooms reminds us of a Poppy.

Mostly available from December through June, the best blossoms come in mid-May. Their vibrant colors and velvet-like appearance come in jewel-toned pink, purple, red and white.

Delicate Anemones have a short vase life, only 4 days. They are intolerant of heat, and sensitive to ethylene gas.
